Your business is like a mirror and it doesn’t matter how good you think your business is. There is no escaping cause and effect your business is a mirror that is constantly reflecting back at you. What your deepest beliefs, your true progress as a business owner and what your intentions are. So if your intention is just to go out there and run some crazy marketing campaign and make a quick buck, then believe me, your business is going to reflect that right back at you. And it’s going to show up by you getting bad members who are a non fit with your community and your existing core members are going to start to mistrust you for it. You’re not going to be able to create a real connection. These new members are not going to integrate into your tribe, and you’re not going to be able to create a real difference for them.

And over time, believe me, people are going to sense it. People are going to know it, and you’re going to have a much tougher time growing your business. And that’s the thing, guys, many gym owners think they have the best fulfillment and the best operations. They’ll say things like we run an amazing community, or we get everybody fed or everybody here gets results. But they’re usually saying that when they’re small and then as soon as they put a little downward pressure on those systems, they break. So you truly don’t know how good you are until something like that happens. And for many it’s a wake-up call. And of course, it’s easy to make a few people happy, but that is not the test of a real business owner or a real business owner can scale the experience and make the shifts needed as they grow the business.

But on the other hand, if you set out from moment one, even if you’re just starting out saying I’m going to build my business on a foundation of integrity, I’m going to build my business on a foundation of results. Then that’s going to get reflected right back at you too. People are going to trust you because they’re going to understand that you have their best interests at heart. And people want to be surrounded by people that inspire them. People that work hard to grow their business, people that care. So look, do you want decisive members than be decisive? Do you want clients that pay without hesitation, then take a look at how fast you make payments. Bottom line guys is that you attract the kind of client that you are. If you’re sincere about wanting to get results for people, you’re going to attract members that are sincere.
